Appropriating the Faith - From CMLI 2015

Appropriating the Faith

Campus Ministry Leadership Institute reflects on the topic…

Appropriating our faith is vital, even without some sort of title
We own and we possess, We know when to digress
As we speak gently and respectfully to each other
We believe without seeing, We love each being
We have plans, hopes and dreams that we want to achieve
We laugh and we love, we succeed, even grieve
But we always keep our faith in our minds
It’s our faith, our own! Through we may mumble and groan
We have plans to keep our faith alive.

I feel good and humble about what I do
I am a handyman, and I help people too!
I’m drawn to take leadership positions in my faith and beyond
I continue to learn about faith to help keep others found
I’m committed to nursing internationally abroad
I stay active in the church and counsel my peers.

I’m an active part of the Body of Christ.
We’ve each found our niche with our won little spice. Our faith has the power…
To inspire, to work miracles, to humble, to mature, to call us to make the world a better place.

Appropriating our faith is vital, even without some sort of title
We own and we possess, we know when to digress
As we speak gently and respectfully to each other.
